Social Development Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her aid and dedication to increasing South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) providers throughout an engagement together with the agency's senior managers in a strategic scheduling session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled inside the 2024 matric final exams.
On the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, symbolizing 81% in the registered pupils during the education and learning sector.
These learners achieved a commendable pass rate of 86%.

Reflecting on recent achievements, the Minister highlighted vital milestones and ongoing priorities. She devoted to urgently addressing the issue of long term leadership appointments as well as the scarcity of staff at most community offices.
